What to Expect
If you come with paperwork filled out, great. You can download it here. If not, this is not a problem. In that case please arrive early 10 minutes early to fill out the forms.
Together we will look at your posture and discuss what is going on and why you have come. As soon as possible, we will begin to work on what we find. An hour goes by quickly, I like to get as much accomplished as we can.
Focus is not usually on areas that hurt. Rather to restore a more normal posture so your body can relax and heal. Often the area of concern is not the problem. No two visits are the same.
My techniques are often very intense. Extreme bruising is not uncommon. Inflammation stimulates healing and it is often my goal to create healing in areas that need to recover. Most everyone tolerates my work, although I am not for everyone. Be ready for me to go after what ever we find in the way of your progress.
What is a Chiropractor?
A chiropractor is someone who completes a premedical education and goes to graduate school for a doctorate in chiropractic. The word “chiropractic” means to practice by hand. Typical practice is limited to the spine. This and many other clinics also adjust and align other joints of the body.
What do I need to bring?
Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, list of medication and any nutritional supplements.
How many visits will I need?
Need is a funny word. What are our goals? What is keeping us from achieving these goals will help answer this. I have over 4000 patients. Most don't see me annually. Some people come in on a regular basis. Depends on what you want and how much time you want to devote to this type of care.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Soft comfortable sweats are best. Most people come in wearing what they have on for the day. Jeans and dress clothes work, although I tend to be rough on clothing. I typically work on ones feet, so socks are also helpful.
How do I make an appointment?
You can get in touch by phone (435) 640-8227 or use the form on the contact page. Alternatively use the quick and easy online booking page, which is the method we prefer.
Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
Chiropractors are doctors. Medical referrals are common, but not required.
